ACTED in Burkina Faso

Since early 2019, Acted has been operational in Burkina Faso, providing crucial humanitarian support in the northern and Sahel (Soum) regions. Our mission is to deliver multisectoral emergency assistance to displaced families and vulnerable host communities through WASH initiatives and livelihood support, including non-food item distributions and cash transfers, in close collaboration with the humanitarian community. These efforts are part of a broader stabilization program, reflecting Acted's commitment to the Humanitarian Nexus, while replicating our regional strategies employed in Mali and Niger.

Key Responsibilities

The Country Logistics Coordinator (CLC) plays a vital role within the Management Team at the country level. Reporting to the Country Director/Representative, the CLC is accountable for overseeing supply chain management related to program implementation, alongside logistical management aspects such as fleet, fuel, premises, assets, and communication management. The CLC must ensure that all logistics operations comply with Acted's procedures, donor requirements, best practices, and national regulations, with a strong emphasis on value for money. Additionally, the CLC will lead, provide technical guidance, and enhance the capacity of the country logistics team.

Responsibilities Overview
  1. Supply Chain Management:
    • Procurement: Guarantee that all needs are met according to the established timeline, quality standards, and appropriate procurement processes.
    • Stock & Deliveries: Ensure effective storage and stock management practices throughout the country.
  2. Logistical Management:
    • Fleet & Transportation: Implement efficient transportation solutions nationwide.
    • Fuel Management: Oversee fuel supply across the country, proactively addressing and mitigating supply risks, including quality control.
    • Asset Management: Establish an effective asset allocation and maintenance strategy throughout the country.
    • Premises Management: Maintain optimal working and living conditions for all personnel at every location by implementing a robust general services approach.
    • IT & Communications: Develop a comprehensive IT strategy across the country in line with Acted's global standards.
  3. Compliance & Transparency: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or security management.
  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and manage both international and national personnel.
  • Adaptability and capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Competence in working effectively in unstable and frequently changing security contexts.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from 3300 to 3500€ monthly (before income tax), based on education level, security conditions, etc., along with a monthly living allowance of $300.
