Position Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Sustainability Advisor who will spearhead sustainability initiatives with prominent clients, including investors, property firms, and multinational corporations engaged in real estate. The Lead Sustainability Advisor will assist clients in articulating inspiring visions, formulating comprehensive sustainability strategies, devising actionable plans, and collaborating with our JLL sustainability experts to implement and realize these strategies.

Career Level Insights:

This role demands specialized knowledge and experience in sustainability, along with consulting expertise that includes interaction with senior executives. The ideal candidate will recommend best practices, tackle complex challenges, adopt a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, and work autonomously, seeking guidance only in the most intricate situations. Leadership of unit teams may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with assigned clients, including investors, developers, and property users, while collaborating with sustainability product teams and delivery colleagues to create compelling proposals that address sustainability challenges and drive business growth.
  • Consulting Execution: Oversee the development of client sustainability consulting missions, including facilitating presentations for executives and elected officials. Coordinate efforts with other sustainability specialists and multidisciplinary teams, such as valuation experts or project developers, to assist clients in navigating various aspects of their sustainability journey. This may involve creating project plans, delegating tasks, and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Sustainability Services: Collaborate with business and sustainability teams to enhance and expand existing mandates across a spectrum of sustainability issues, from strategic planning to implementation, reporting, compliance, and emerging services (e.g., biodiversity and circular economy) to broaden the sustainability offerings available to clients.
  • Ethical Standards: Comprehend and adhere to the organization's behavioral, moral, ethical, and compliance standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in sustainability and/or consulting.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused approach.
  • Specialized knowledge in sustainability practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven track record of engaging with senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to take ownership of client deliverables and ensure alignment among multiple internal stakeholders while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ideally with experience in developing comprehensive solutions within a business context.
  • Effective team player, contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Experience in conducting materiality or strategy reviews is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with real estate investors or occupiers is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficient in computer and information systems, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
