Aventa is seeking a skilled Naval Architect Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing offshore analysis and contributing to the development of design briefs and design basis documents.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform numerical analysis using industry-standard software (Orcaflex, Uflex) under the guidance of a Lead Engineer.
- Contribute to the elaboration of design briefs and design basis documents.
- Develop design solutions in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Produce design documentation, including feasibility reports, detailed in-place design reports, specifications, and material takeoffs.
- Liaise with method engineers to support the development of installation procedures and provide lay tables.
- MSc or PhD in hydrodynamics, marine engineering, naval architecture, or renewable energies.
- Relevant internships or work experience in the renewable marine energy and oil & gas industry.
- Knowledge of FEA modeling and experience with cable and/or umbilical design.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Ability to work within time and budget constraints.
- Experience in working in a multidisciplinary system engineering team.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
- Personal interest in analysis tools and development.
Based in Anglet, near Biarritz. Permanent contract.
