Your Role and Mission

As a Financial Controller, you will report to the Deputy CFO and ensure McPhy Energy S.A.'s economic management by defending the proper use of the Group's financial resources and acting as a Business Partner. You will communicate actual results and budget forecasts to decision-making bodies to inform their strategies and propose corrective measures to improve cash flow and profitability.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Educate the organization to use ERP correctly and promote data quality, particularly in the Plan to Produce cycle and in support of the accounting team in the Procure to Pay cycle
  • Control upstream expenditure commitments: orders, investment studies, product margin analysis, etc.
  • Ensure the upstream financial performance of commercial offers and monitor customer projects through to final contract execution
  • Manage inventory control: coordinate physical inventories, analyze inventories and variations at monthly closing
  • Participate in accounting closings: calculation of provisions, for example.
  • Oversee CIR calculations, prepare subsidy applications, and report on subsidies granted
  • Draw up the annual budget for the assigned perimeter, in collaboration with the relevant managers
  • Monitor and interpret actual analytical results for the assigned perimeter, comparing them with the budget and run rates, analyzing variances, estimating the year-end landing, communicating results, and proposing corrective action in the event of any deviation
  • Communicate useful management information to operational managers and the Finance Department
  • Act as management controller for certain departments (e.g. R&D, Supply Chain)
Your Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in industrial controlling. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years higher diploma, university degree, DSCG or business school diploma, with specialization in accounting and/or controlling
  • At least 7 years experience in industrial controlling
  • Good understanding of financial flows and statements (balance sheet, income statement, and TFT)
  • Knowledge of information systems and ease with the world of ERP and databases
  • Knowledge in power PI is a plus
  • Excellent command of the Office package, particularly Excel
  • Ability to analyze and summarize
  • Fluent in English
