Job Description

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the commercial and contractual aspects of large and complex nuclear plant projects. As part of the project management team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects through all phases of design, procurement, and construction, ensuring that commercial, financial, and scheduling targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise sales and legal teams on commercial and contractual aspects of tendering activities and provide commercial execution strategy for execution, focusing on contract structure and executability.
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects of projects in execution to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Establish Project Commercial Execution Plan and Project Variation/Claim/Insurance Strategy.
  • Provide notices to customers, consortium partners, and insurers in consultation with PD.
  • Coordinate project team to achieve and improve margin.
  • Perform risks and opportunities management.
  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with clients, partners, and main subcontractors/vendors to ensure smooth project operation and dispute resolution.
  • Define and implement effective notification and claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors, and insurers.
  • Coordinate with contract management and legal in preparation of claims.
  • Perform negotiations with clients, partners, and/or subcontractors, vendors, and insurers.
  • Own commercial project execution processes and tools, such as project commercial plan and claims and variation order tool.
  • Capture return of experience and best practices on commercial issues.
Consortium Agreement Management (if applicable)
  • Manage commercial aspects of consortium agreement.
  • Ensure Arabelle Solutions rights under consortium agreement are enforced.
  • Maintain cooperative relationship with consortium partner.
  • Lead all project-based correspondence with consortium partner.
  • Claim management with consortium partner.
Requirements
  • High degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, or Business Administration.
  • 10 years of experience in Nuclear industry with at least 5 years of experience in contract management, project management, or legal for large/complex projects.
  • 5 years of experience with Russian customers.
  • Good commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities to undertake commercial negotiations.
  • Good knowledge of project contracts and contract law.
  • Good knowledge of claims management.
Desirable
  • Project Management education and professional registration beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Arabelle Solutions plant characteristics beneficial.
  • Insightful, able to collaborate with other business team members in developing strategies and implementing business plans.
  • Broad commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines.
  • Strong planning skills and knowledge of cost control principles.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Strong in building relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Open to criticism, able to handle conflicts.
  • Cultural awareness and team player.
  • Excellent computer skills in using MS-Windows and Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Language Skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and working knowledge of at least one other language.
  • Knowledge in written and spoken Russian.
  • Understand and speaks French.
