Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Strategy Consultant to join our International Energy Providers market team in France. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting global integrated energy companies in their transition to lower carbon and sustainable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential clients to understand their key challenges and needs.
- Develop a compelling value proposition aligned with the client's needs.
- Support the development of client sales opportunities, focusing on energy companies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new solution offerings that resonate with target clients.
- Project manage multiple and/or complex consulting engagements, from corporate strategy to deployment.
- Ensure engagements are completed at or above targeted profitability through effective management of project scope, client expectations, and team productivity.
- Contribute to the execution of innovative solutions and application of technical knowledge and best practices.
- Mentor and manage local junior staff.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience in leading strategy and management consulting or corporate strategy.
- Demonstrated experience positioning and delivering strategy consulting and/or business solutions.
- Business case or proposal writing experience, including budget development and managing proposal timelines with multiple subject matter experts.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and creative problem-solving skills.
- A team player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
- Willingness to travel internationally where possible.
- French native speaker or fluent in French, with the ability to work fluently in English (written and spoken).
- Master's degree in top leading schools or International University degree with a focus on energy economics, business management, engineering, science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local French and regional European professional network.
- Relationships with energy companies that support business development and enable improved understanding of needs.
- Knowledge and experience in power or gas systems, pipeline infrastructure, grid integration of decentralized sources, decarbonization of the energy sector, and/or power markets, business transformation, and change management.
- Knowledge and experience in industry topics such as sustainability, the hydrogen economy, advanced energy technologies, renewable energy, distributed generation, electricity generation, utility regulation, power/gas sales.
