As a Build Release Coordinator, your role will be pivotal in shaping the development process and delivering engaging experiences for players on both iOS and Android platforms. You will oversee and streamline workflows, manage code and asset repositories, and ensure efficient CI/CD pipeline operations. Your collaboration with diverse teams will be essential in achieving high-quality releases, drawing on your technical knowledge and exceptional organizational capabilities.

Workflow Development and Automation:

Collaboration and Development:

  • Work closely with the production team to design and implement workflows that align with project objectives and limitations.
  • Automate these processes by effectively configuring various project tools (repositories, build systems, ticketing, etc.).

Repository Management:

  • Oversee the various code and asset repositories required for creating different game versions across all targeted platforms (Android, iOS, Windows).
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in repository usage, keeping the team informed of protocols.
  • Maintain clear distinctions between development streams and ensure proper integration of fixes.

Continuous Integration and Deployment:

  • Establish, maintain, adapt, and enhance the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guarantee the consistent availability of client builds and server environments for the project.

Build System Oversight:

  • Ensure the efficient operation of the build farm, considering constraints such as storage space, build sizes, archiving, bandwidth, and versioning.
  • Track development progress and share relevant information with the team.

Release Management Coordination:

  • Serve as the liaison between the project and the Mobile Release Management team, responsible for public release deployments across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with QA and QC teams to ensure that public release quality meets project standards and Release Management requirements.
  • Work with leads from different realization teams to define various working environments.
  • Provide training and support to production teams.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage and integrate substantial volumes of game data.
  • Navigate the complexities and challenges inherent in game development projects with confidence and clarity.
  • Possess excellent analytical and investigative skills for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team (PROD, QA, QC, RMM) while also being capable of independent work as needed.
  • Confidently communicate any challenges or issues encountered.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in video games and emerging technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in source control systems, particularly Git and Perforce.
  • Familiar with the three primary desktop/server platforms (GNU/Linux, OSX, Windows) and associated configuration/build tasks.
  • Experienced with Google Play Store and iOS/Apple publishing platforms.
  • Skilled in scripting/programming languages across all operating systems (e.g., Python).
  • Capable of defining and maintaining a server environment based on Kubernetes with Helm.
  • Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a significant advantage.
