Senior - F/H - Bioinformatics Specialist

Job Description:
Within the context of reinforcing our high-throughput sequencing activity (production and development), we are seeking a CDI Senior - F/H to join our team.
The bioinformatics team, consisting of 3 junior bioinformaticians, aims to set up data analysis pipelines (notably high-throughput sequencing) to enable interpretation by biologists and scientists interested in various medical themes: constitutional genetics, oncology, and infectious diseases.
Your Missions:
- Evaluate existing bioinformatics tools and provide new solutions for diverse data analysis (DNA, RNA, short reads, long reads…).
- Design and implement solutions for tomorrow to integrate and exploit data of different types (biological results, clinical data, exomes, whole genomes…).
- Ensure the smooth operation of production analysis pipelines and participate in problem-solving.
- Participate in mapping and optimizing bioinformatics processes.
- As a Senior, provide technical support and plan the activity of the bioinformatics team and anticipate associated resources.
- Propose innovative solutions to teams through technological watch.
- Ensure large-scale data storage and processing, and maintain equipment, in liaison with the IT team.
- Guarantee the quality system of Bioinformatics (ISO 15189 standard).
Required Qualifications:
You have a Doctorate or Master's degree in bioinformatics, with knowledge in molecular biology and high-throughput sequencing data analysis. Mastery of various programming languages (R, Python, Java) and a command-line interpreter (Bash/Shell) is essential. Mastery of the Nextflow workflow manager and visualization tools is appreciated. Advanced knowledge in statistics and artificial intelligence is highly valued.
Your adaptability, curiosity, and benevolence will enable you to work in collaboration with biologists and scientists from genetics, oncology, and infectious disease teams.
