About the Position
Inria, a leading French research institute, is seeking a highly skilled researcher to join its team in the field of wireless communications. As a PhD student, you will contribute to the design of waveforms and channel codes for uncoordinated wireless communications, with applications to future terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new theoretical frameworks for wireless systems, leveraging probability theory, tensor algebra, and information theory.
- Develop joint code and modulation techniques, as well as robust multi-user decoding algorithms.
- Collaborate with the research team to advance the state-of-the-art in wireless communications.
- Contribute to the development of analytical performance metrics and algorithmic solutions.
- Present research findings in academic conferences and publish scientific articles.
Requirements
- Master's degree in applied mathematics, digital communications, or equivalent.
- Strong background in probabilities, statistical signal processing, and information theory.
- Fluent spoken and written technical English.
- Familiarity with scientific programming (Matlab or Python).
