Mission
As a member of the Active Research and Biotechnology Service, you will participate in cell culture experiments in suspension (vegetal) to produce extracts with dermatological and cosmetic activities of interest. Your goal is to isolate the (or the) compounds responsible for these activities and identify them. This identification will allow you to conduct experiments to optimize the production of these active ingredients.
Specifically, you will:
- Participate in sterile culture, culture follow-up (kinetics) in solid and liquid media, and solvent organic extractions;
- Set up an analytical follow-up to compare the phytochemical profiles of the extracts produced;
- Intervene in bio-guidance experiments (fractionations, activity dosages...) to focus investigations on trace molecules and optimize the qualities sought through experimental plans. A bibliographic research will be requested throughout the internship to demonstrate your ability to propose and a regular reporting and the maintenance of a laboratory notebook.
The equipment available to the intern will include:
- Culture equipment (agitated incubators, laminar flow hoods, bioreactors);
- Sample preparation equipment (ultrasonic grinder, centrifuges, lyophilizer);
- Separation and analysis equipment (HPLC, LC-MS);
- Crossing and activity dosage equipment (robotized pipetting station);
- Computer equipment for piloting and statistical processing.

Who you are?
You are a Master 2 student or a final year student in an Engineering School.
You have a specialization in biotechnology and/or experience in analytical chemistry.
You have a good mastery of the Office package (Powerpoint, Excel...).
You know how to express yourself fluently in English, in the context of daily use, particularly in writing.
