About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at De Beers Group of Companies. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Director in the day-to-day running of the store and leading the team to achieve sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a role model by playing an active role in selling to customers on the shop floor and continuously motivating team members to meet assigned targets and KPIs.
- Develop strong relationships with VIP and high net worth clients, facilitating private viewings when appropriate, and work with the Store Director to establish regular action plans to develop sales for each product category.
- Ensure CRM activities are maintained and well used, and implement in-store marketing and promotional activities to drive sales.
- Support the Store Director with ensuring day-to-day staff management is carried out in accordance with company policies, and encourage, motivate, and support team members to achieve sales goals.
- Coach team members to ensure continual development, including relevant gemological/product knowledge, and provide 1:1 and group training as appropriate.
Requirements
- Significant retail experience with at least three years in a managerial capacity, with a strong knowledge of the luxury retail industry and an inherent interest in, and knowledge of, the jewellery industry.
- A proven record of delivering sales results, with a degree qualification and GIA qualification an advantage.
- Fluent spoken and written French, with additional languages such as English and Mandarin an advantage.
- A strong team motivator and developer, with Microsoft Office and POS system experience.
