We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Career Development Specialist to join our team at The American University of Paris.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned career development professional to lead our team in providing top-notch career guidance and support to students. As a Lead Career Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative career programs and services that meet the evolving needs of our students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in career counseling and development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a university setting or a similar environment. A Master's degree is preferred, but not required. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in French (C2 level) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive career development programs and services for students, including career assessments, workshops, and individual coaching sessions.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff across campus to promote career-related initiatives and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners to create opportunities for student internships, job shadowing, and networking.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on program participation, outcomes, and metrics to inform future planning and evaluation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in career counseling and development, preferably in a university setting.
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, education, human resources).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French (C2 level) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of €50,000 - €65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
