Waste Controller

Job Summary

As a Waste Controller at Orano Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of radioactive waste. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct, and follow up on waste control interventions
• Manage and condition radioactive waste generated on site
• Identify and mitigate alpha radiation risks
• Track and manage materials in storage facilities
• Advise stakeholders on waste management best practices
• Conduct waste removal operations in PADIRAC
• Count and record drums and laundry bags
• Condition and manage induced and primary waste
• Adhere to established procedures and guidelines
• Ensure safety, security, quality, environmental, and health standards are met
• Prepare intervention reports
• Ensure work traceability
• Report any discrepancies or non-compliance
• Suggest areas for improvement in service delivery
• Perform self-control on executed work
• Perform first-level maintenance
• Conduct work in a glove box
• Clean up according to procedures
