Cellular Biology Laboratory Specialist

About the Role

HM CLAUSE is seeking a skilled Laboratory Analyst Biologist to join our Research and Development team at our Maninet site. As a key member of our Biological Laboratory team, you will contribute to the production of haploid doubles and plant propagation, as well as the creation and improvement of our future vegetable varieties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of complex tasks in the laboratory and greenhouse, applying internal procedures and protocols as assigned by the manager.
• Ensure the attainment of high-quality, reliable, and reproducible results.
• Adhere to laboratory best practices and internal company procedures (Safety, Phytosanitary Protection, etc.).
• Report daily activities, collect and record data, and write monthly activity reports.
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the laboratory: stock management, waste disposal, equipment maintenance, and cleaning.
• Support the development and writing of new protocols.

Requirements

• Hold a Bac/Bac Pro degree in laboratory sciences, with a minimum of one year of experience (internships, apprenticeships, etc.) in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in in vitro culture (plants, microorganisms, etc.) is an asset.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a team-based work environment and apply protocols and procedures to achieve set objectives.
• Organized, meticulous, and thorough in documentation and tracking of work performed.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capacity to explain activities and identify areas for improvement (Quality, Safety, etc.).
