Key Responsibilities
Ongoing Duties:
- Plan, organize, and administer prescribed medical treatments while assessing their outcomes, alongside nursing responsibilities.
- Provide care for three patients in collaboration with healthcare assistants.
- Support and communicate with patients' families.
- Manage patients requiring invasive procedures and complex monitoring.
- Recognize emergencies and initiate appropriate care protocols.
- Utilize and oversee the electronic patient care record.
- Supervise nursing assistants and trainees in accordance with training programs.
- Engage in practice evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing training and collaborative working groups.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all nursing activities (care, handovers).
- Coordinate daily operational orders (pharmacy, sterile supplies).
- Engage in therapeutic discussions with families.
Patient Care Activities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients.
- Monitor vital signs (respiratory rates, intubation, diuresis, and various probes).
- Implement and oversee renal replacement therapies.
- Conduct daily assessments, including post-operative and pre-transfusion evaluations.
- Administer medications using electric syringes or volumetric pumps.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency equipment and protocols.
- Implement isolation procedures as necessary.
- Facilitate patient transport for examinations or surgical procedures.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Manage orders for pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
- Conduct checks on medical carts.
- Perform basic maintenance on medical equipment.
- Ensure proper inventory management after each patient discharge.
- Oversee the progress of nursing students.
