Lead Cost Analyst in Electronics Engineering

As a Lead Cost & Insights Analyst within the Electronics systems sector, you will be instrumental in overseeing and executing cost evaluations and analyses, concentrating on diverse manufacturing techniques and product expertise in the automotive industry. In a collaborative and global setting, you will assist A2Mac1 and its clientele by delivering comprehensive cost assessments, benchmarking, and strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing product costs and performance. Your proficiency will be vital in providing high-quality insights and ensuring client satisfaction.

Costing Responsibilities:

· Formulate bottom-up costing, Zero-Based Costing (ZBC), and directional costing in alignment with client expectations.

· Strategize and implement cost evaluations, guaranteeing quality and compliance with timelines.

· Examine input data, pinpoint materials and manufacturing methods, and assess costs utilizing internal tools and methodologies.

· Comprehend and articulate product functionality at various levels (system, subsystem, component, function).

· Identify and propose strategies to enhance the cost efficiency of vehicle features or systems.

· Conduct cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis evaluations.

· Draft and present evaluation reports adhering to required quality standards.

Project Oversight:

· Engage in all phases of the project development lifecycle, including planning, requirements gathering, development, and testing.

· Track and communicate project progress, ensuring adherence to deliverables and milestones.

· Participate in meetings and provide updates on assigned projects.

· Analyze, communicate, recommend, implement, and report cost-related information effectively.

Client Engagement:

· Collaborate with clients during delivery and hand-over sessions to ensure satisfaction.

· Identify appropriate benchmarks from the database and analyze in collaboration with client expert teams.

Team Collaboration:

· Assist team members as needed.

· Contribute to the enhancement of internal tools, models, and templates.

· Provide technical guidance for onboarding and training new team members.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience as a Lead Cost Analyst.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Familiarity with automotive and auto-parts.

Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge & expertise in at least 3-4 manufacturing processes such as PCB manufacturing, PCBA production, final assembly, optical modules, wire harness manufacturing, or other key technologies.
  • Extensive system knowledge in Electronics, including ADAS, Infotainment, Body electronics, and Harness.
  • Proficiency in costing methodologies (Zero-Based Costing, Should Costing, Bottom-up costing, Directional costing methods, Design to Cost).
  • Exceptional analytical, synthesis, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
  • Effective and clear cross-cultural communication.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level).
