Senior R&D Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Software Developer to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software products.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in planning, architecture, and research to drive innovation and improve our software products.
- Perform complex development activities, including user experience, software design, and solver research to deliver high-quality products.
- Employ best practices and help maintain them through technical reviews and mentoring to ensure our software products meet the highest standards.
- Perform complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products, researching problems discovered by QA or product support and developing solutions.
- Research and understand marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues, and work with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and may take on some planning and mentoring responsibilities.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years' experience, MS with 3 years' experience, or PhD with 1 year experience.
- Commercial experience with Angular 2+ (preferably 15 and above).
- Commercial experience in SASS framework.
- Experience in developing enterprise applications using contemporary design patterns like factory, observer, singleton, etc.
- Experience developing data-driven reusable components for large data display.
- Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with Angular or other popular frontend component frameworks (react and vue).
- Experience architecting and building reusable styling frameworks.
- Experience with build tools like node and npm.
- Experience with task/automation frameworks like github actions.
- Understanding of the atomic design methodology.
- Passion for crafting robust and efficient code.
- Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial software development environment.
- Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team.
