About the Role
Newrest, a leading provider of catering services, is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and organizing our kitchen operations to ensure the highest quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and production plans to meet customer requirements and ensure cost control.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory levels.
- Conduct regular audits and quality control checks to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Manage kitchen operations, including production planning, staff scheduling, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure profitability.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- BEP/CAP in Cuisine or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a large-volume kitchen environment, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
