Position Overview: Within the Connectivity Systems division, you will have the chance to influence the future of connected living and lead the development of innovative connectivity solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with clients on next-generation connected products, integrating technologies such as Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth into various devices, including:
- Smart lighting systems

Role Responsibilities: As a SW Application Engineer within the Customer Success Team, you will support our clients from project initiation through to mass production, assisting with the integration of Qorvo IoT silicon and software into their products. Your contributions will include developing embedded software (firmware) for these devices, ranging from simple standalone examples to comprehensive applications. Your work will be highly visible and impactful for our clients, who include major operators in the US and EU, consumer electronics manufacturers, and globally recognized technology leaders. You will be regarded as the authority on Qorvo IoT chips, standards, and technologies (IEEE, Ultra-Wideband, Zigbee, Thread, Bluetooth Low Energy, etc.).
Collaboration with engineering teams from corporate OEMs will be essential as you help develop IoT products from initial prototyping to mass production. As part of the Application SW Customer Success team, you will work closely with clients as they integrate our Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Low Energy silicon into their offerings.
Utilizing our development kits and reference applications, you will provide core expertise on our software and the applicable standards. You will also address reported issues by reproducing them and conducting initial investigations. Additionally, you will create sample applications for tier-1 clients and develop proof-of-concept projects and demonstrations.
During the pre-sales phase, you will collaborate with our marketing team, providing technical insights. Your focus will be on embedded software, whether operating on bare metal (no OS) or within a Linux environment. You will gain exposure to firmware, low-level drivers, and reference applications, introducing these to our clients.
Qualifications:
- Experience in embedded software engineering, with a foundation in embedded C programming
- Recent graduate with a master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering
- Strong communication skills and comfort in customer interactions
- Willingness to travel internationally occasionally (up to 10%)
- Proactive problem solver with an innate ability to anticipate client needs
- Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
