About the Role

CNIM is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in La Seyne sur Mer. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating the technical development of complex mechanical systems and subsystems for defense applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze project requirements and participate in the development of technical proposals
  • Conduct feasibility studies and lead the development of mechanical systems and subsystems
  • Define technical orientations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and performance criteria
  • Lead technical teams and ensure the development and qualification of mechanical systems and subsystems
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Provide technical assistance and support during project execution, installation, and commissioning

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design and project management, preferably in the defense industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. CREO) and simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS, RDM7)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel for client and supplier meetings
