About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Lyon site and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for steering plant operations to ensure Safety, Productivity, and alignment with our broader objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring experience leading sophisticated manufacturing or service workshops and possess a strong understanding of financial management and resource allocation. You will be responsible for defining and measuring performance indicators, collaborating with the PA team to craft and implement operations strategies, and fostering a culture of Manufacturing Perfection through the systematic application of Continuous Improvement tools.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing management, operations management, or a related field, and 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing and operations management, including prior leadership roles in the industry.

The successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, challenge, and coach teams optimally. They will also possess operational expertise, financial skills, quality management skills, problem-solving skills, project management skills, communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Safety: Safeguard a compliant and safe working environment, fostering health and safety practices and ensuring rigorous adherence to rules and standard operations.
  • Operational Oversight: Advise the daily operations of the site, driving efficiency and streamlining lead times and planning processes. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Supervise financial performance, implementing cost-saving measures while upholding high operational quality standards.
  • Strategy: Collaborate with the PA team to craft and implement operations strategies that support the company's broader goals.
  • Team Leadership: Provide multifaceted leadership to Quality, Production, and Logistics managers, focusing on Safety, Cost Management, and Efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Guarantee that quality standards and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Supply Chain Management: Improve inventory management and logistics to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Reporting and Communication: Deliver regular updates and reports to the PA / Operations Directors and Executive Team.
  • Employee Engagement: Cultivate a positive work environment, ensuring strong staff engagement and taking proactive steps to further improve employee happiness.

Geography and Travel Requirements

The position is based in Lyon Dardilly, France, with minimal travel required. Travel is primarily for PA / BU meetings, estimated to be a few days per year.
