Roquette, a global leader in plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients, is seeking an Antitrust & Compliance Counsel to reinforce its Ethics & Compliance Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your scope and venture into anticorruption compliance.
About the RoleThe Antitrust & Compliance Counsel will provide strategic advice and counsel on all aspects of antitrust law, coordinate merger control and foreign investment filings, and manage responses to agency requests. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, strategy, sales, and finance, to monitor and advise on legal developments in the field of antitrust and competition law.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a Roquette Group-wide compliance program, including policies and processes to support a culture of ethics and integrity.
- Provide strategic antitrust advice and counsel on all aspects of antitrust law.
- Coordinate merger control and foreign investment filings in the framework of M&A transactions.
- Manage responses to agency requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and advise on legal developments in the field of antitrust and competition law.
- Create training and communication content to advertise competition law rules to most exposed functions.
- Support the Group's anti-corruption and anti-bribery program, with particular emphasis on compliance with the Sapin II law and implementation of the AFA Guidelines.
- Masters Degree (Bac+5) in Competition Law / Economic law / International law / LLM / Business school.
- Passed the Bar in one or more jurisdictions.
- English is a must, native English speaker preferred. French is a plus and other languages are always beneficial.
- International experience with significant exposure to working within and across different jurisdictions.
- 4-6 years of experience specialized in antitrust and competition law, preferably with experience in private practice.
- Eager to expand your scope to anticorruption / ABC compliance matters.
