The Senior Closing Actuary - L&H Actuarial Closing is a key member of the L&H Actuarial Closing team at SCOR, responsible for delivering high-quality Life technical reporting to downstream systems under both Solvency II and IFRS17. This involves ensuring data quality, providing actuarial guidance, and analyzing consolidated results.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the design of Business As Usual (BAU) structures related to the CSM Engine tool, focusing on processes and validation of calculations.
- Provide valuable insights to senior management on key drivers and risk relating to Solvency II and IFRS17 results.
- Support other Group Chief Accounting Officer (GCAO) teams for the delivery of IFRS17 information for audit requests.
- Support the macro market teams with any queries related to IFRS17 results calculated in the CSM Engine, in close collaboration with the team reviewing local cashflows.
- Assist in testing of end-to-end system developments.
- Support the reporting of the Group and Legal Entities' Solvency II liability data, ensuring adequate governance and delivery to downstream systems and teams.
- Support the reconciliation of SII-IFRS17.
- Support the documentation of IFRS17 and SII controls on the consolidated results as well as of the results themselves.
- Input in the production of guidelines for SII and IFRS17 cashflow modeling.
- Very good experience and knowledge of actuarial methodology and financial reporting processes (5+ years).
- Knowledge of SII and IFRS17 standards.
- Industry knowledge of reinsurance business.
- Excellent IT skills of standard software (MS Office).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to explain and present complex ideas to a wide audience.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Team player, collaborative spirit.
- Innovative, flexible, and adaptive to changing requirements.
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
