We are seeking a dedicated Pipeline Installation Analysis Engineer to become a vital member of our team. This role is based in our Suresnes, Paris office and is a full-time, permanent position. Our engineers are acknowledged for their proficiency in conducting analyses throughout the entire installation process, from the preparation and execution of installation analyses to overseeing offshore operations until completion. You will collaborate with a team of installation analysis engineers, focusing on rigid pipeline installation analysis in various project phases, including FEED and tender stages.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive feasibility assessments and installation analyses, taking into account all associated risks while ensuring adherence to safety regulations for operations such as pipe laying, riser installation, and pipeline structure installation.
- Identify and optimize installation procedures, including the determination of laying methods (S-Lay, J-Lay, reeling).
- Guarantee the quality of analyses and adherence to project timelines.
- Collaborate with related subsea disciplines and comprehend the interfaces within a project framework.
- Provide engineering support during operations, which may include occasional offshore assignments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety objectives and legal standards.
- Actively contribute to the consolidation of knowledge within the department.
- Suggest innovative solutions aimed at reducing costs and risks.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis methodologies.
- Strong understanding of beam theory and material physics.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools such as Orcaflex, Abaqus, Python, and VBA.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong report writing capabilities, with a focus on accuracy and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet management deadlines.
- Willingness to undertake short-term international travel as required.
