Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Project Director to lead a major nuclear new build EPC project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the project, from initial planning and design through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Leadership: Lead the execution of a large-scale nuclear new build project, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage and communicate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, contractors, and internal teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with national and international nuclear safety regulations and standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they impact the project.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all aspects of the project meet or exceed industry standards.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring that all project activities prioritize the health and safety of personnel and the protection of the environment.
- Project Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders, including progress reports, financial updates, and risk assessments.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Chartered Engineer (CEng)) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the nuclear or energy sectors, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale EPC projects.
