At Barrington James, we're seeking a highly skilled Quantum Chip Design Lead to spearhead the development of cutting-edge quantum chips. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and modeling quantum circuits to enhance the functionality of gates and readout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Quantum Measurement team to optimize circuit design and improve performance
  • Work with the Nanofabrication team to design and layout superconducting integrated circuits for quantum processors
  • Develop and implement RF engineering solutions for quantum hardware
  • Construct and model gds design circuits using commercial software and bespoke Python-based simulation tools
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in experimental quantum physics
  • Expertise in research and/or industry
  • Strong understanding of quantum dots and circuit quantum electrodynamics
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and computer modeling
  • Proficiency in commercial electromagnetic solvers (HFSS, COMSOL, CST)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
