Storage Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Storage team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing storage solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our product and field teams to enable new capabilities for our customers to develop and deploy data workloads on AWS infrastructure.
- Design best-in-class storage infrastructure solutions for all stages of customer and product lifecycles.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in storage and data strategies.
- Partner with Solution Architects, Sales, Business Development, and Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment.
- Work closely with account teams, research scientists, and product teams to drive model implementations and new solutions.
- Thought Leadership - Evangelize and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of related subject matter experts.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in designing/building/maintaining storage environments.
- Previous experience with application, server, and network security.
- Highly technical and analytical, with significant experience in software development and/or IT and storage and networking implementation, including security and compliance.
- Advisory/consulting experience, including some experience with global accounts and large commercial customers.
- Business fluent English and French.
- Proven experience with IT network architectures, including layers and protocols.
- Experience with design, implementation, and maintenance of data center networking environments.
- Professional experience architecting/operating cloud solutions.
- Experience with enterprise IT storage architectures and how they integrate into large-scale production applications.
- Understanding of AWS Storage Services such as S3, Glacier, Elastic File System (EFS), AWS Storage Gateway (SGW), and Snowball.
- Scripting experience (Powershell, Python, bash, etc.).
- Bachelors or equivalent work experience.
- Comfortable speaking to large audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Technical Communication Skills; able to bridge the gap between business outcomes and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and how Storage technology is leveraged for modern data solutions.
