Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Senior Analyst to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. This role will provide critical support to our Budget Manager and Finance Manager, focusing on data analysis, financial planning, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial management support to assigned Budget Manager and Finance Manager, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, optimize financial performance, and inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with Senior Finance Analyst on special projects, driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring controls are in place and items are accurately accounted for.
- Design, test, implement, and maintain procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
- Post-secondary education in an Accounting program.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and MS Access.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
