NXP Semiconductors is seeking a highly skilled SOC Verification Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our MPU/MCU Engineering organization, you will be responsible for defining and executing digital verification strategies for our Sub-Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Define Digital Verification Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital verification strategy for our Sub-Systems, ensuring that all functional faults are identified and addressed.
- Execute Digital Verification: Design and execute digital verification plans to guarantee the quality and reliability of our Sub-Systems, in accordance with specifications defined by product architects.
- Interface with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with software, architecture, design, and end-user teams to understand functionality and application requirements.
- Develop and Debug Test Environments: Design, develop, and debug test environments and test cases to ensure thorough verification of our Sub-Systems.
- Code and Debug Test Cases: Write and debug test cases in appropriate languages (C, SystemVerilog, etc.) and debug these test cases on design models.
- Determine Verification Quality: Define coverage goals and methods for measuring these goals, and enhance test cases until goals are met.
- Knowledge of SOC Architecture: In-depth knowledge of the architecture, elements, and functionality of multi-media processor-based SOCs (i.MX, OMAP, EXYNOS), including CPUs, DMA, MMU, PLLS, memory, and peripheral interfaces.
- SoC and IC/IP Design Processes: Understanding of SoC and IC/IP design processes, including Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Software Development Experience: Experience in developing and debugging software for embedded CPUs, including C/C++ programming.
- EDA Tools: Knowledge of EDA tools for developing, simulating, and debugging functional tests (RTL, VCS, and NCSIM simulator, C compilers).
- Education: BTech/MTech/Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or other similar disciplines.
- Experience: At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in SOC verification.
