Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, depending on size and complexity
- Mentor and support Lead and Senior Engineers in their projects
- Define project requirements and scope, working closely with engineering managers and the finance department
- Acquire project resources and oversee the efforts of project team members
- Ensure professional quality service and manage project scope through analyzing customer requirements and specifications
- Assist with the coordination and support of machine assembly/installation
- Interface with mechanical engineers, electrical/controls engineers, purchasing agents, and assembly technicians to implement and improve system design and performance
- Regularly monitor and report budget, schedule, and cost performance, as well as milestones throughout the project life cycle
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders
- Provide direction and mentoring to engineers as needed
- Utilize engineering and physics principles to generate industrial machine designs
- Work with a team of engineers to ensure proper hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical techniques/methods
- Use 3D CAD systems to generate designs, create assemblies, and produce drawings
- Use PLM and PDM and ERP systems to manage data and configuration
- Provide and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Work with engineering managers and the finance department to create and manage project schedules and bid proposals
- Troubleshoot and debug industrial systems
- Assist with the development and monitoring of internal processes
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 8-10 years of engineering experience, including experience in aerospace manufacturing or other highly regulated or high-tech industry
- 3 years of project management experience preferred
- PE certification preferred
- Experience with CAD required; CATIA/SolidWorks a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management software preferred
- Ability to proactively anticipate potential problems and propose solutions
- Ability to analyze complicated systems
- Proven ability to provide leadership and direction in all aspects of projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Solid computer skills and experience
