Eramet's Central Technical Department is seeking a highly skilled Geology and Mining Director to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a strategic role in driving the Group's operations forward.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deploy best practices for geosciences, mining engineering, and tactical and strategic mine planning.
- Work closely with Group subsidiaries to manage their sites, ensuring risk control and competitiveness.
- Update practice guides for the Eramet value chain elements under your responsibility, using the EPS reference system.
- Participate in the development of EPS deployment strategies for geology and mining activities.
- Lead the ICG mining team to ensure the best possible use and involvement of field experts in building the best practices repository.
- Contribute to the definition of strategic and operational plans for the Group's mining activities.
- Collaborate with the IT Department to drive the digitalization and innovation roadmap for geological and mine engineering activities.
- Review risks and deploy related controls for all Group sites in areas such as resources and reserves, hydrogeology, erosion, and surface water management.
- Develop and update financial modeling of the value chain (VSM from pit to port) of various sites and define ambitions for progress with the finance department.
- Lead your team towards excellence, driving continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation in mining processes and activities.
We are looking for a trained engineer or Master 2 with a specialization in mining and geology, with at least 15 years' experience in mining. You should have excellent command of the mining process, geological and mining technical skills, expertise in Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Mining Economics. You should also be thorough, results-oriented, proactive, curious, adaptable, and open-minded, with excellent interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
