Job Title: Data Steward

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our team at the Lesaffre Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within our central Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain LIMS database, including data entry, verification, and cleaning to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define appropriate data models and ensure proper data input and maintenance.
  • Train and animate a community of end-users.
  • Produce monthly key performance indicators (KPI) related to LIMS usage, including user activity, data quality, and trends.
  • Manage the relationship with the LIMS provider by identifying unmet needs and collaborating on the development of new functionalities.
  • Develop a long-term strategy for the system's evolution to support the integration of emerging experimental platforms.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience working with LIMS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
