We are a network of charging points in operation or under construction, and the largest network of charging points open to the public in France, known for our market-leading reliability. Since our inception, our charging points have enabled the charging of 125 million kilometres driven in electric vehicles, equivalent to 3 000 times around the Earth. With more than tons of CO2 avoided, we have supplied more than 22 million kWh of electricity since our establishment.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Corporate Counsel to join our Executive team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for all legal issues related to our activities, including the structuring of commercial contracts, general terms and conditions, partnerships, third-party investment offers, operational contracts, and issues related to contract management and governance.
You will also be the point of reference for interactions with our legal advisors and will provide expert and strategic legal advice to our board of directors and executive management. Your role will involve leading the corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company's matters, anticipating and identifying legal issues, and counseling executives to develop legal strategies and solutions.
You will also be responsible for overseeing the legal team, delivering legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities, drafting and negotiating contracts, and providing advice and assistance to operational staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company's matters
- Provide expert and strategic legal advice to the board of directors and executive management
- Anticipate and identify legal issues and counsel executives to develop legal strategies and solutions
- Oversee the legal team and deliver legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities
- Draft and negotiate contracts, particularly bylaws, shareholder agreements, partnerships, commercial agreements, confidentiality agreements, contracts related to the construction and operation of charging infrastructure, general terms and conditions, purchase contracts, manufacturing contracts, subcontracting agreements, intra-group agreements, etc.
- Provide advice and assistance to operational staff
- Manage the corporate affairs of the group, internal restructuring operations, external growth, fundraising, general assemblies
- Manage commercial, employment, and other disputes within the organization, overseeing lawyers
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- At least 10 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate setting, with a strong preference for background in energy or technology sectors, or environmental law
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas
- Comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously and under deadlines
- Mastery of IT tools: Microsoft Office, Notion, Miro, Slack, etc.
- Experience in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC)
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a rapidly growing company in the technology or energy sector
- Knowledge of intellectual property law, contracts, and litigation
