Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our team in delivering complex, high-value projects in the Industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate cost and schedule management.
- Monitor project performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to drive best value for clients.
- Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary.
- Collaborate with remote teams to ensure cost baselines are accurate and clients receive value for money.
- Guide and influence contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with schedules and cash flow parameters.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
- Control costs using knowledge of conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, and basic contingency principles.
- Create and maintain cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
- Understand and apply change management principles, leading agreed change management processes and workflows.
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules.
- Understand procurement principles, collate lead times from vendors and clients, and communicate prioritization of ordering materials and equipment.
- Work closely with clients to define vendor schedule requirements.
- Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on project cost and schedule.
- Stay informed on project changes, incorporating and communicating these to the project team to allow for approvals in the change management process.
- Experience in project controls coordination across all project lifecycle phases, including program, risk, and reporting, with a focus on large, complex construction projects in the Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Life Science sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service, working autonomously and as part of a team, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English, with flexibility to work on-site at project locations.
