Located at the heart of the Lille metropolis, a dynamic European crossroads, the École Jeannine Manuel in Lille is within a two-hour train ride of the three European capitals: Paris, London, and Brussels. Within the École Jeannine Manuel in Marcq-en-Barœul, we welcome over 1,000 students from Maternelle to Terminale, representing more than 100 nationalities.
We have a mixed boarding school with a capacity of beds to accommodate students from around the world. More than half of our boarders are from foreign nationalities.
Our mission is to promote international understanding through bilingual education, cultural exchange, and continuous pedagogical innovation, attentive to the trends, challenges, and opportunities of the external world.
We are seeking a Weekend Internat Host/Hostess for the upcoming school year.
Missions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students (ages 6-18)
- Supervise our weekend boarders
- Organize and lead activities for our internal students
- Plan and supervise cultural and leisure activities
- Ensure transportation and accompany students to various appointments
Profile
You are comfortable in French and English.
Holding a Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur (BAFA) is a definite plus.
You have experience in the education sector and wish to work with high school and college students.
You hold a valid driving license for minibus driving.
You are able to assist students with their schoolwork.
You can take on an adult and reference role with our boarders.
You wish to join a dynamic team in a multicultural environment.
Working hours: part-time (from 2 pm to 10 pm), spread over Friday evening to Sunday morning during the school year. You will benefit from school holidays.
Meals are served in kind.
