About GBH

GBH is a non-profit association dedicated to environmental protection in Martinique. For over 29 years, we have been recognized as a general interest organization and have played a crucial role in supporting the structuring of various waste sectors, including batteries, electrical and electronic equipment, furniture, packaging, photovoltaic panels, and unused medications.

Our Mission

We strive to promote sustainable waste management practices through collaboration with stakeholders across different sectors. Our key objectives include:

  • Representing eco-organizations (EPR sectors) and managing voluntary waste treatment sectors for automobiles.
  • Implementing an inter-company circular economy approach: Industrial and Territorial Ecology.
  • Preserving the living environment through initiatives like Operation Clean Country, Green Country, End-of-Life Vehicle removal, and green space development.

Your Role as a Waste Management Deployment Facilitator

Reporting to the association's General Delegate, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing action plans defined in consultation with approved eco-organizations for each waste sector.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders in each sector, including market players, local authorities, holders, and collection actors.
  • Acting as a liaison between partners and service providers for each eco-organization.
  • Supporting the development of reuse and repair initiatives within the WEEE sector.
  • Promoting the development of local recovery solutions.
  • Collaborating with public and institutional partners.
  • Organizing and/or participating in awareness events for waste holders (general public and/or companies).
  • Providing monthly reports on actions carried out for each sector, as well as an activity report.

Your Profile

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with:

  • A minimum of Bac +3 and 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including public speaking abilities.
  • Familiarity with the local economic landscape is an asset.
  • Knowledge of waste management principles is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer tools.
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are essential, as regular travel throughout the territory will be required.
