Job Overview:
The Audit Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing and executing the Internal Audit activities, ensuring that the internal control frameworks are both effective and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement comprehensive Internal Control methodologies and tools.
- Implement financial governance across the organization.
- Detect discrepancies and supervise the corrective action plans.
- Organize and enhance existing or lacking procedures.
Main Objectives:
Conduct financial, regulatory, and accounting compliance assessments to evaluate policies and processes, collaborating with all departments to ensure thorough reviews.
Assess and analyze the effectiveness of the existing control systems to mitigate risks and foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Provide management with reports on control weaknesses and suggest measures to mitigate risks while adding value.
- Critically evaluate current processes and identify areas for improvement.
Advise on modifications to policies and procedures that positively influence the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Facilitate the resolution of identified issues through follow-up actions.
- Play a pivotal role in the upkeep and evaluation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practices.
- Examine the potential for fraudulent activities within the company’s systems and processes.
- Collaborate with Corporate Audit and the General Secretary on audit initiatives related to the company’s risk management framework.
The Audit Operations Manager will also assist in documenting financial processes and procedures, guiding the organization in addressing significant risk areas through assessment audits and actionable recommendations.
Required Knowledge:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Familiarity with IFRS and French GAAP in an international context.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, procedures, and generally accepted auditing standards.
- Thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks.
Experience Required:
- Experience in Big5 Audit or Internal Audit roles.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance.
