Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our Commercial Aircraft business in Toulouse, France. As a key member of our Flight Operations customer support organisation, you will contribute to the development of safe and efficient flight operations by incorporating human performance and limitations into our research, development, certification, production, and customer support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the analysis of in-service events from a human factors perspective, collecting and categorizing human errors, analyzing human-related events, and contributing to the report of analysis of events and follow-up.
- Select and apply human factors methods for designing and assessing products or procedures, including Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Human System Interaction (HSI) guidelines.
- Contribute to innovation and increase human factors knowledge of Airbus teams, fostering an efficient cooperation with the Airbus HF experts network, technical documentation, linguistic domain, safety representatives of customer service, and engineering.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in Cognitive Psychology/Ergonomics, Human Factors, or a related field, with a strong academic or professional background in physiology and anthropometrics.
- 5+ years of experience as a Human Factors Specialist in a design office, customer support, or an airline, with knowledge of human capabilities and limitations in complex and high-risk systems, pilot tasks, and aircraft operations in normal and abnormal conditions.
- Strong human factors competencies, including cognitive psychology, human system interaction design principles, physiology, flight operations knowledge, and airworthiness and certification.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact, influence, and foster relationships in an engineering environment.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to travel occasionally.
