  • Responsibilities:
  • Execute and oversee waste control interventions, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  • Manage and prepare radioactive waste for appropriate disposal methods.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of alpha risk mitigation strategies and best practices.
  • Maintain meticulous records and traceability of materials stored in designated areas.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on waste management procedures to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Conduct waste removal operations at specific locations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Accurately count and document drums and laundry bags containing radioactive waste.
  • Manage both induced and primary waste streams, adhering to strict regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure unwavering adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, quality standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive intervention reports detailing all activities and outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous records of work performed, ensuring complete traceability.
  • Promptly report any deviations or non-compliances to the appropriate authorities.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives by suggesting innovative solutions.
  • Conduct self-checks on completed work to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment used in waste management operations.
  • Work safely and effectively within gloveboxes, adhering to established decontamination procedures.
