We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microscopy Image Analysis Specialist to join our team at the Institut Curie. As a key member of our research unit, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced image analysis tools and techniques to support our research goals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and maintain the operation of our microscopes, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.
- Design, implement, and validate image analysis workflows and tools for multidimensional fluorescence microscopy datasets.
- Train and support researchers in the use of image analysis software and tools, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and maintain a comprehensive image analysis pipeline.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in image processing and analysis, and implement new techniques and tools as needed.
- Hold an engineering degree or master's degree in (bio)computer science, (bio)physics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
- Have professional experience in optics/microscopy and image analysis, preferably in a research or research support context.
- Strong experience in image processing, data visualization, and software development (Icy, Fiji/ImageJ, Napari).
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, Java, or C/C++.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
