Strategy planning Director Industrial Automation - H/F

You will join the Industrial Automation Strategy team, which is responsible for shaping and driving Industrial Automation strategy to meet Schneider Electric goals and objectives.

As a Strategy Planning Director, you will be responsible for developing transformative strategic thinking and ideas generation for our industrial automation business for growth, tackling the market trends and convergence of OT/ IT. With this changing landscape, constantly bringing interesting elements from the outside world in will be critical.

You will be expected to collaborate with teams across the company to ensure the strategies deployed are the most innovative and impactful.

This is an Individual contributor role, joining a core team of ~10 Strategy and transformation leaders and a Strategy community of 20+ across IA.

Main missions for this role :

  1. Manage for Industry, in link with Corporate Strategy, the execution of the company’s strategy processes and content: E.g., Strategy Week, Deep Dive, Strategy Board.

Industrial Automation Strategy projects

Lead strategic studies to explore new areas of growth and acceleration on objectives achievement :

  • Structure strategic studies defining key questions to be addressed, workstreams, key analyses, workplan and project governance
  • Conduct analyses and derive implications for SE IA
  • Formulate actionable/ pragmatic recommendations for SE IA
  • Ensure alignment of stakeholders prior to key project milestones
  • Prepare for effective management communications of project findings and proposed recommendations for decision-making
  • Coordinate the governance of streams, challenging LoB leaders, senior managers on content and direction

Check-in on deliverables and measure impact

Support the development and execution of the Industrial Automation strategic plan “OPEN” :

  • Maintain a keen awareness of competition and keep senior management abreast through effective communication

Your profile :

  • MBA or Masters degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering
  • 7+ years’ global experience in business and technical environments with a key software and/ or industry player in process, discrete and hybrid automation trends
  • Strong track record in implementing innovative solutions for evolving market trends bringing business growth
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex, transversal, business transformations & changes programs, including as a strategist
  • Strong business acumen project management skills, successful teaming with colleagues, and a strong results orientation
  • Strategic thinking competences and excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative analyses into clear messages for the audience
  • Natural leadership + strong execution capability to think several steps ahead and take proactive steps to address roadblocks and issues. Convince Executive level about strategy
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for understanding the fundamental drivers of automation and software business success and competitive advantage
  • A high level of enthusiasm for building business, problem solving to overcome obstacles
  • Credibility as a trusted advisor and thought leader
  • English fluent mandatory, French as a plus
  • Nb : no relocation proposed for this role, the candidate needs to be already based in France
