**About the role**:
We're looking for a Backend Developer, with a deep love for back-end work but who has experience working on full stack user stories. Pairing on a story works but our sweet spot is with engineers who can tackle _some_ front-end work even if they are back-end focused. We call them T-shape engineers. Strong in one area (here backend with Cloud/AWS experience) but have a breadth of knowledge outside of this focus. And if you don't have the bar on the T just yet, you're welcome to build these strengths with us

Today, we work with Java & Kotlin on the backend and React & Typescript on the frontend. We use PostgreSQL with GraphQL running on AWS. If you're experienced in Go, Rust, Python, Node, C#, or whatever language, we're happy to have you learn with us. While we look to maintain standards and consistency, we aim to choose the right tool for the right task. We grow and evolve as a group and so do our stacks.

**What you'll be expected to do**:

- Build the product that our customer loves
- Grow your skills on a platform that itself is growing and maturing. Help improve the current stacks.
- Collaborate with Product & Design teams (we love them) to make sure we're working on the most impactful set of features
