Enthusiastic people who are completely in their element here at Oleon are more than welcome to join our team The job - You assess the patentability of new or improved products, methods, and processes by researching prior patents, competing technologies, and relevant sources like professional databases, journals, and the internet. You define the scope of innovations and analyze key elements to ensure their uniqueness and competitive edge. - You conduct bibliographic research to analyze competitor’s patents and IP landscapes, identifies strategic opportunities or threats for the organization, and advise R&D on new patents and published discoveries. - You collaborate with legal teams on IP litigation, contract clauses, and defending the interests of the organization in intellectual property litigation cases. - You collaborate with legal teams to defend the organization's interests in intellectual property litigation cases and support the legal department with contract clauses to ensure compliance with third-party industrial property rights for our products, processes, and services. - You address general inquiries as well as specific questions related to patents and intellectual property, while also raising awareness among colleagues about its importance. - You contribute valuable input to the development of policies, procedures, and work instructions within your functional domain, aligning with the group's strategic objectives. You report to the Group Patent Expert. Who are we looking for? You'll succeed if: - You hold a chemical BAC+5 degree, with additional training in Intellectual Property Law. Having several years of experience, preferably in an industrial setting, is an advantage. - You are fluent in English and French. - You possess a solid scientific knowledge, allowing you to interpret and understand technical documentation with ease. - Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders. - You demonstrate a strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure timely delivery, along with the analytical capabilities needed to drive insights and solve problems effectively.
