**Job description**:
**Role Overview**

Energy Team has a key Role inside EPYR : Make the thermal Battery competitive, leveraging on its flexibility and modularity in order to supply heat at lowest cost.

As an **Energy Modeling Intern**, you will contribute to the development of tools and algorithms enabling the best sourcing strategies. You will learn a lot on Energy Markets and the Power System in Europe, from Long term hedging to intraday and real time flexibility.

This role involves **Data, Market Analysis as well as Coding.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and improve **energy pricing and sourcing models**, integrating market data and technical constraints.
- Analyze **electricity markets, pricing structures, and regulatory incentives** to optimize EPYR’s sourcing strategy.
- Support the design of **forecasting models** for energy price variations and grid flexibility mechanisms.
- Automate data collection and processing pipelines for **market intelligence and risk assessment**.
- Work closely with both the **Energy and Engineering teams** to integrate modeling insights into business decisions.

**Profile**:
**Who You Are**
- Currently in the **second part of a gap year or in the final year of a Master’s degree or engineering program**.
- Strong proficiency in **Python** (experience in data science or optimization is a plus).
- Most used libs : Pandas, Polars, Pydantic
- Understanding of **energy markets, power procurement, and flexibility mechanisms**.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Passionate about **energy transition and industrial decarbonization**.
- Prior experience in **energy modeling, quantitative analysis, or energy trading** is a plus.

- One Interview (45min) : A Practical Assessment to evaluate your analytical and problem-solving skills. No prior preparation is required; the case will be presented during the interview.
