Lead Scientist in Generative Ai Algorithms

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Scientist in Generative AI to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions at Blue Yonder.
With a strong academic background, the focus of this role is to bring deep expertise in Generative AI algorithm architecture (transformer family) to enable the next generation of Supply Chain Management software.
As a key player in the Blue Yonder AI Innovation Studio, you will work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of Generative AI and machine learning in the supply chain planning and execution domains across a variety of business verticals (manufacturing, retail, transportation, ).
Primary Duties:
- Lead and provide scientific expertise for research programs in algorithm architecture beyond current standard usage including Generative AI for Optimization, LLMs for Tabular Data and more.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of principles of new algorithmic approaches.
- Champion Generative AI science at Blue Yonder:
- Kees up to date with scientific research and latest trends in the industry.
- Mentor team on pertinent scientific publication and technology.
- Empower team members by sharing knowledge and providing hints so they come up with their own solutions.
- Reflect on how the team works towards delivering value and actively improves processes within their team.
Other Responsibilities:
- Develop quality software (including test code) according to clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards.
- Consider operational aspects of Gen AI services in early design stages and strives for more automation and self-service to reduce operational efforts for themselves and the team.
What we are looking for:
- Self-driven with the desire to take ownership and ability to deliver high quality code (Python primarily)
- PhD in Machine Learning, with a focus on Transformers architecture
- Min 7+ years of data science experience in industrial / real-world settings
- Significant publications and contributions in scientific community in Generative AI algorithms
- Conducted research and publications in generative AI for tabular data, operation research or combinatorial optimization is a plus
