We’re currently recruiting for a Team Leader on our Day Shift to be based at our site in Aylesbury on our contract with Arla (Dairy). We run a large fleet with 100 vehicles, and 200 drivers. This is working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 6am to 6pm.
**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday, as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
**What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- Support the Shift Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
- Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updatedEnsure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment
**What you need to succeed at XPO**:
- It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment - no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet
- Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environmentProven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours
