Established in 2014, SuperGrid Institute is an independent private company with over 150 employees of 21 different nationalities. The institute is a key player for energy transition in France and throughout Europe, specialising in innovative high and medium voltage direct current (HVDC and MVDC) power systems. SuperGrid Institute also develops new technologies for the integration of renewable energies into the electricity networks of the future. General context As part of the "High Voltage Switchgear and Cable" programme, dedicated to the development of new technologies applied to DC and AC high-voltage electrical networks, we are recruiting an R&D Insulation Engineer. You will be working as part of a young, dynamic team and will be involved in the Institute's R&D projects, as well as providing research services for external customers. Objectives / Tasks - Carry out simulations/tests on the basis of specifications and draw up a factual report for the R&D Manager or Project Manager, - Take part in the development of new technology by participating in the design of models (physical, digital, etc.), their preparation (resource management) and testing, - Summarising and presenting results at internal or project meetings, - Contribute to the drafting of reports and publications, scientific/technical journals or brochures, - Take part in conferences or communication events to present technical results, - Contribute to the development of collaborations and services with customers by participating in technical exchanges and project execution. Recent PhD graduate or holder of an engineering degree or 5 years' higher education with a specialisation in Mechanics, Energy or Electrical Engineering, with at least 2 years' experience. You are familiar with electrical modelling and testing. Your ability to work independently and to manage innovative research projects will be a valuable asset to our team. Ideally, you will have some initial experience in the design of high or medium voltage switchgear. - Fluency in English required. Personal skills - Ability to work in a project environment. - Ability to interact with external customers. - Excellent ability to summarise. - Curiosity, autonomy and rigour. - Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.
