**ABOUT UNILODE**
**Position Overview**:
The Quality Engineer will promote all aspects of the Quality and Safety programs within the Company by leading and implementing safety, quality and compliance projects that support current and future customer programs. This position will provide advice and assistance to repair stations. This includes audit preparation and corrective action planning.
**General Responsibilities**:
The key accountabilities are, but not limited to:
- Perform internal quality audits at assigned locations per audit schedule, ensuring compliance to Part 145 regulations applicable to Unilode’s Maintenance Organization Expositions.
- Develop and manage staff induction, staff training plan, competency assessment program and company authorization management system to ensure personnel compliance against EASA regulatory requirements.
- Deliver technical and quality training to maintenance personnel.
- Guide operational stakeholders in their understanding of responsibilities of policy, procedures, safety conduct and adherence to all pertinent rules and regulations.
- Lead Quality and Safety investigations as needed.
- Provide advice and assistance to repair stations on audit preparation and corrective action planning.
- Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Systems are established, implemented, maintained and effective.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, repair station conduct and adherence to all pertinent rules and regulations pertaining to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Execution and measurement of assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives; leading and assisting in setting up new repair capabilities and facility expansions.
- Provide technical assistance and training to Repair Stations.
- Foster and promote a people first approach.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation safety and regulatory standards.
- Statistically analyze compliance and report findings to show areas of concentrated risks/concerns.
- Additional duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- College degree in Engineering; Certification; or relevant experience in engineering or maintenance discipline.
- 2+ years of experience working in an aviation maintenance environment with strong focus on quality, safety, and process improvement.
- 2+ years compliance/quality assurance experience in an Airworthiness Part 145 environment engaged in aircraft or component maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of EASA Part 145 with ability to demonstrate a practical working knowledge of the regulations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
- Conversant with EASA Part 145 regulations.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Fluent in French and English (written and oral).
- Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma desirable.
