**What We Are Looking For**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated **Intern in Downstream Processes** to join our innovative team. This intern will play a vital role in optimizing our processes for the purification and analysis of key functional ingredients. You will gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge start-up lab environment while contributing to our mission to improve infant and specialised nutrition.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the **development and optimization of purification and separation processes** (chromatography, membrane filtration, precipitation, etc.).
- Perform **clarification, concentration, and formulation** steps.
- Contribute to **product characterization using biochemical assays** (SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Enzymatic assays ).
- Support **scale-up activities** from lab to pilot scale.
- **Document** experimental work and contribute to R&D reports.
As a junior member in a small startup your responsibilities will also span lab management, lab duties and helping other team members and more specifically our lab manager Julie in day to day operations
**Requirements**:
- Pursuing an **Engineering Degree in biological sciences, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or a related field**. Prior experience in downstream processing or bioprocess development is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as chromatography, filtration, and other separation methods is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret experimental data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being proactive and self-motivated.
