**Job Description**:
Under the supervision of the TD Supervisor, the Technical Directors (TD) participate in the design, development, optimization and maintenance of the pipeline and production tools.

Led by the Lead TD Animation, the TD Animation specializes in layout and animation workflow layout issues in Maya. It covers the departments Previz/Layout, Confo Layout, Camera, Animation and Crowd.

He works closely with equivalent manufacturing departments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Helping artists solve technical problems
- Create specifications for development
- Re-document tools and code.
- Maintenance of existing tools.
- Implement effective strategies to meet project requirements
- Provide creative ideas and solutions to improve visual and technical quality
- Develop tools and procedures to support the creative process
- Understand the visual requirements for the film, and design procedures, techniques and tools that will enable these to be met
- Work according to Mikros Animation coding style
- Liaise with the software team to ensure compliance with internal practices
- Ensure the follow-up and the relevance of the creation and update of the technical documentation of the developed tools
- Test and validate new versions of pre-existing tools, both interactive ones (mainly Maya) and in an active production environment

**Qualifications**:

- Good knowledge of Maya software
- Good knowledge in Python and Pyside/PyQt
- Experience in solving problems with artist scenes
- Experience as a layout or Animation artist is a big assets
- Knowledge of Shotgun is an asset
- Be a force of proposal, adaptation and motivation
- Thoroughness, autonomy and strong organizational capacity
- Practice of English (written & oral), including technical English
